Angela DeCarlis is a portrait artist and artistic researcher who studies access to representation in studio art and art education. They earned their MFA from the University of Florida in 2022. They are the founder and lead artist of Figure On Diversity, an initiative designed to increase access to representation in studio art/education.
In addition to their work in fine arts and academia, DeCarlis is a graphic designer, musician, and professional contra dance caller.
