Ang will serve as the model for this series by default, though substitutes will be hired for sessions if Ang is unavailable. Pose lengths will be determined by the group on a by-session basis. No RSVP required.

ABOUT THE MODEL

Ang DeCarlis began working as a figure model in Philadelphia in 2012. They continued modeling professionally after moving to Boston, where they served as a volunteer organizer of the group Figure Models of New England. In 2017, Ang founded Figure On Diversity, an initiative designed to increase access to representation in studio art education — a goal primarily addressed through day-long figure modeling workshops. Through these workshops, Ang has provided formal training to some 5-dozen new models, though they have offered informal mentorship to countless others.

In 2025, after primarily teaching for 8 years, Ang returned to their own practice of figure modeling. On the model stand, Ang approaches the practice of posing as an art form in and of itself.
